The carpeted offering is no match for any sort of weather. As such, floor mats should be your first accessory purchase. Thankfully, there are plenty of great aftermarket options out there. That said, the options can be overwhelming. Which are the best Model Y floor mats for snow and rain? Which are the best floor mats for Tesla Model Y summer driving?

First up on this list of the best Tesla Model Y floor mats is Tesloid’s offering. These mats are designed to fit your Model Y perfectly and from my hands-on experience, they do just that. In fact, out of all the floor mats I tested, Tesloid has the best fit with no curling or gaps.

That said, the one drawback is that Tesloid’s Model Y floor mats do not go as high up the sides as some other options.
Still, these are a great option. They are durable and easy to clean. They’re also well-priced at $149 CAD.

2) 3D MAXpider All-Weather Floor Mats
Another very popular choice for Model Y floor mats is 3D MAXpider. These are often on sale at Costco and are one of the most talked-about options in Tesla forums and Facebook groups.
The 3D MAXpider have a premium look and feel, whereas all other options are more functional than style.
Now, of course, the look is subjective. I would have liked to keep these ones for a summer set; however, I could not get over the logo. This looks tacky to me, but again, that is subjective.
What isn’t subjective is how they hold up to foot traffic. With minimal side coverage and a less-than-optimal fit, they will do little to stop mud and dirt from getting into the side carpet areas. Some reviews online also highlight gaps in coverage on the end closest to the seats.

3) Tesmanian Model Y Floor Mats – Best Overall
Next up on this list of the best Model Y floor mats is the extremely popular Tesmanian all-weather set. This set had the second-best fit next to Tesloid’s but is #1 overall when it comes to coverage. The sides on all Tesmanian mats extend the highest out of the mats I tested.
Still, the fit could be better. My set had a few spots that were curled, leaving large gaps. These are easy to address and common with most sets that ship. All you need is a heat gun or hairdryer to mold the spots into shape.

2024 Tesmanian Update!
Tesmanian has updated their already great set of floor mats. As per the pictures below, the set is much cleaner looking. It gives me the Cybertruck vibes, and I am 100% here for it.

4) TAPTES Model Y Full Set – Runner up
If you like the look of the 3D MAXpider but the price is throwing you off, consider TAPTES. They are almost identical in looks (minus the tacky logo) but have a much better value as the set includes a trunk mat as well as frunk and sub-trunk liners.
I just got a set of the TAPTES floor mats and love the clean look, but I do have concerns with the coverage. They do not extend up the sides like other mats on this list, so I am going to use them as my summer set and switch back to my Tesmanian all-weather set for winter.

5) Tesla Model Y Floor Mats OEM Liners
Those looking for an OEM option are in luck. Tesla offers a set of all-weather floor mats in their store. Full disclosure: I did not try these ones. Why? The price.
At $225 CAD, these mats come in as the most expensive. After looking at them, I decided to order the Tesmanian ones to try instead. They are pretty identical in looks, minus the Tesla lettering. Considering that if everything Tesla is important to you (and the price is not a concern), these look like solid choices.

6) Tuxmat Floor Mats – Best Coverage
I finally got my hands on a set of Tuxmat floor mats and can say that they definitly live up to the hype. They constantly come up in Facebook groups and forums as the best Tesla Model Y floor mats. They are also highly rated on Amazon and with good reason.
Tuxmat’s live up to their name as one of the nicer-looking sets out there. They also have ridiculous coverage for excellent protection with sides that extend all the way up the center console and are reportedly easy to clean.
That said, they are not my pick for the best Model Y floor mats. At $200 CAD, these mats are on the upper end price-wise. Given the coverage, they there is more material so may be worth it for some. For me, however, there is almost too much coverage. The mats really take over the interior were as other sets blend in. though. They are indeed one of the best Tesla Model Y floor mats available, but not my top pick.

7) YITAMOTOR Tesla Model Y Floor Mats – Best Budget
One of the best budget-friendly finds is the YITAMOTOR Tesla Model Y Floor Mats. At just $100 CAD, this set offers great value.
The fit is similar to Tesloid’s, and coverage is good on all sides. However, they do look like budget floor mats, and if you are OCD like me, the logo might bug you.

8) BASENOR Tesla Model Y Floor Mats 3D All-Weather
Last up on this list of Tesla Model Y floor mats is the BASENOR 3D All-Weather set. These floor mats fit great and have an excellent no-slip design.
On the downside, they are very basic-looking and have no side coverage. The driver’s side is also a little short, leaving gaps for mud or dirt to get in.

After extensive testing, for me, the best floor mats for Tesla Model Y owners came down to Tesloid’s excellent fit and Tesmanian’s overall coverage. The 3D Maxider was a close 3rd; however, the logo and lack of side coverage sealed it for me.
Since it was a toss-up for me with the looks between Tesmanian and Tesloid, I took to Instagram and let the Interwebs decide which one I should keep. Drum roll, please…

I like less noise and no logo! That said, I think they make cheap accessories. Might not be an issue with floor mats but I have not tried them to confirm. If someone here has let me know what you think!
Hi Shaun: I really like the thoroughness of your reviews. Just to let you know that I ordered a full set of Tesmanian floor mats for my 2023 Model Y. I gave them 3 stars because I had to work to get the edges to grip the sides, plus rear deck mat didn’t fit properly (too long) plus the BIG one that they didn’t disclose, that is Fedex admin and clearance charges ($47.06) over and above the shipping charges that I paid (not duty) at check-out for shipping to Canada. Unfortunately, no free shipping to Canada. That’s a big charge compared to the cost of the product and would affect everyone ordering from Canada. That’s a big (intentional??) miss. In the interests of fairness and transparency, they should have disclosed that. Here’s the kicker: Tesmanian chose not to publish my review. I thought they would be more transparent. Just so you know Below is my respectful and honest review that I submitted to Tesmanin for you to read. What do you think of the whole situation?
The front driver and passenger mats had some bows that didn’t quite grip the edges but that was fixed using a hot hair dryer and massaging it into place over several minutes. Now both front mats fit quite well. The rear passenger mat, frunk mat and rear lower mat fit well right out of the package with no adjustment required. The problem was with the rear deck mat. Even following the instruction of folding it inward along the edge and laying it flat for 12-24 hours before installing, it still didn’t fit well. Tried several times and still not good. I’m not happy with it at all.
The other problem is, if you live in Canada, get ready to get hit with Fedex admin charges that are over and above the shipping charges you pay at the Tesmanian check-out (Canadian shipping not free). I got hit for an extra $47.06 comprising of two (2) Fedex admin and clearance charges (not duty) as well as tax on both charges. These extra Fedex charges should have been disclosed by Tesmanian, in advance, on their web site prior to check-out. Canadian customers be warned.
Interesting and sorry to hear. I had issues with my first set but their customer service was great when I contacted them. They quickly sent me a new set for free. I ordered another set for my 2022 Model Y and no complaints either. The duty is a lot for sure but this is common for any cross-border shipping with FedEx or UPS so not specific to Tesmanian really. If you live by the border shipping to a free mailbox there is an option (which is what I do for most US purchases) or you can ask the company to ship USPS.
I bought just a cargo liner from AZ and it was like a piece of cardboard with some kind of coating. It was also kind of gray i color. Is the genuine tesla ones the only ones here that appear black or which of the others?
All of the floor mats and cargo liners I tried were black. I still like Tesmanian the best. This might help if you are just looking at cargo liners.
